Data Collection

Nxtstep Fitness does not sell your personal data. Workout information you enter is stored locally on your device. If you use our AI features, some information is sent to our AI provider as described below.

Data Access

The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, or microphone, and does not connect to Apple Health or Google Fit.

Progress and profile photos you choose to add come from your device's photo gallery and are stored locally on your device only — they are never uploaded, shared, or sent to Nxtstep Fitness or anyone else.

Workout Information

Workout information entered into the app is stored locally on the user's device only. This information is not sent to Nxtstep Fitness or any external server, except where used to generate an AI response as described below.

AI Features

Coach Titan and our AI-generated workout and meal plans send the questions you ask, your stats, goals, and any notes you type (such as injuries) to our AI provider (OpenAI) in order to generate a response. This data is transmitted securely and is not sold, and is not used by our AI provider to train their models.

Subscriptions & Billing

Some features may require a paid subscription. On iOS, subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID via the App Store; on Android, they are billed through your Google Play account. We do not see or store your payment details — billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time: on iOS via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or on Android via the Google Play Store app > Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future billing but keeps access until the end of the current billing period.

Data Retention

Most of your data stays on your device. Workouts, logged sets, bodyweight, hydration, sleep, notes, goals, meal plans, progress photos, and your XP and rank are stored only in local storage on your phone. This data is kept until you remove it inside the app or uninstall Nxtstep Fitness.

A limited amount of data is processed on our servers:

• AI request data. When you use an AI feature, the text you enter and the relevant stats from your device are sent through our server to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response. It is not used to train AI models. Our AI provider may retain it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and then deletes it.
• Usage-limit records. A per-day counter used to prevent abuse of the AI features. These records are automatically deleted after approximately 48 hours.
• Subscription records. If you subscribe, we store an anonymous account identifier and your subscription status. We keep this while your subscription is active and for up to 24 months after it ends, for billing, fraud prevention, and support.
• Feedback. If you send feedback through the app, we keep the message for as long as needed to review it and to maintain a support history.
• Analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying usage and stability data (Google Analytics for Firebase) is retained for up to 14 months.

We do not store your name, email address, contacts, location, or payment card details.

How to Delete Your Data

• On-device data: delete individual items using the controls in the app, or uninstall Nxtstep Fitness to remove all locally stored data.
• Server-side data: to request deletion of the data associated with your anonymous account (subscription records, submitted feedback, and usage-limit records), email us at nxtstepfitness@hotmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Subscriptions: manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). After cancellation, we delete the related subscription record once the current billing period ends.

Third Parties

Nxtstep Fitness does not use third-party advertising networks or cross-app tracking services. We use OpenAI to power AI features (see above), Google (Firebase) for anonymous sign-in and aggregated analytics, and Apple or Google to process subscription payments.

Future Updates

If future features are added that require additional data collection, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are released.
